Environmental Package Insurance for Contractors & Consultants

Victor’s Environmental Package Insurance for Contractors and Consultants is a combined coverage policy, which includes three available policy sections that specifically address allegations of commercial general liability, pollution liability, as well as errors and omissions. The policy provides extensive liability protection, while helping to avoid gaps in coverage, which may occur when purchasing separate policies.


Contractors and consultants who are responsible for both environmental or non-environmental operations and services are eligible for the Environmental Package Insurance policy. Examples:

  • Fire and flood restoration
  • Asbestos/Lead/Mould abatement
  • Indoor air quality assessment
  • Tank installation or removal
  • Excavation
  • Phase 1, 2, 3 and 4 environmental site assessments
  • Sewer/Water
  • Demolition
  • Marine
  • Site restoration
  • Design remediation
  • Other environmental consulting and engineering services

Coverage Details

  • Shared limit of liability for selected policy sections:
    1. Policy Section One, Commercial General Liability – Occurrence
    2. Policy Section Two, Pollution Liability Insurance for Contractors –Occurrence or claims-made and reported
    3. Policy Section Three, Errors and Omissions Insurance – Claims-made and reported
  • Policy Period – Annual policies
  • Capacity – Limits up to $10,000,000 each incident/aggregate
  • Standard deductible  –  $5,000
  • Territory – Coverage for claims made in Canada

Policy Features

  • Deductible does not apply to Supplementary Payments
  • Supplementary Payments do not reduce the limit of liability (certain conditions apply)
  • Coverage for gradual and sudden pollution conditions
  • Emergency Remediation Costs
  • Civil fines, penalties or assessments
  • Incidental Transit
  • Completed Operations

Additional Coverages Available

  • Mould coverage is available on a claims-made and reported basis
